They were kind, gentle, welcoming people and the food reflected care, creativity and passion. Their Nayhely's Clubhouse arrived on the table like an art piece. It was beautiful! It was a study in contrast and color. Honestly, I was a tad shocked I had expected a simple clubhouse and what I got was an architectural thing of beauty! A precise structure of delicious color attempting to restrain a marvelous chaos of french fries as they tumble free… see the pictures. You’ll understand. What I’m saying was that not only was it a great clubhouse, toasted to perfection on dark rye, it was presented with care and creativity, by kind and friendly people. In what universe could you ask for anything more? The customers seemed mostly regulars having mostly breakfast which is served all day, this is perhaps a philosophy that I need to examine as I get older. Maybe as I reach my twilight years if I go to restaurants in the afternoons and have breakfast in places where the owners know my name and I can have pie for dessert I can stop time? But I’ll tell you one thing, all the hip young people who line up in the streets for hours in Portland are missing out on some damn magical food by not coming to places like Nayhely's Place. It’s a simple establishment. Unassuming is the word. Not a first date kind of spot unless your date is a true keeper. It is one of those absolute family run hole in the wall secret places with loyal local followings. You’ll see a lot of old people there. You’ll see a lot of cops. A lot of working people. A lot of people will know each other’s names. It’s Vancouver Gold.

I have been missing home(philly) and the food here made me feel like at home. I loved the family feeling and everyone was nice. Definitely some of the best diner pancakes I've had since I moved here. It was all delicious. The only thing I was a fan of was the coffee, it was to weak for me. But I will be back.

This brunch spot on Father’s Day was a hit! They were so hospitable and for such a busy Sunday, they did well getting us our food quickly. They accommodated our daughter’s request, brought extra coffee and the food good.

First time coming in with my family while waiting on our car getting repaired. When we ordered breakfast and we ask our server that our son have food allergies and just want to make we are not ordering something that might have contact with the food that his allergic to. The server was very helpful on making sure to ask and not only that I believe the owner of the place came out to speak with us to help answer any questions that we may have about our son food allergies. Even after getting our food. The owner continuously come out to check making sure everything is ok. Definitely recommend this place.

Update: I've been back a few times since my original review and I've decided it definitely deserves the 5 stars from 4. They're always so kind and caring. They're all family, so I fan understand being there on a Saturday morning isn't the most enjoyable for the teens when they'd rather be out with their friends. Either way, well worth a visit. It's a great little nook. Seems to be family run but that doesn't mean poorly run. There does seem to be a lack of personal service. By that, I mean that I felt like our server was just a bit too shy. She was very nice and I absolutely am not complaining about her at all, but it just seemed like she wasn't really interested in anything but getting the order in. Anyway, the food was great. They use real eggs (if you don't know that some places use a powder or mixture) and their omelette and scramble were very good. One thing I noticed was that it seemed a bit underspiced. I would have loved a bit more of a pop of flavor. Either way, I'd definitely go back. Prices are reasonable, a hair high, but still not out of the range of most breakfast joints.

This neighborhood restaurant is open everyday at 7am until mid-afternoon making it a breakfast/lunch joint. It's way back from the street, deep into a small business park called Maria's Properties. Therefore there's no curb appeal drawing people. Someone driving that's looking for a place to eat wouldn't give this location a 2nd glance. It doesn't look like there's a restaurant back there nestled along with massage parlors, hair salons and a computer repair service. In fact, I accidently drove past it even though I was using Google maps. I thought it had to be next door in Ziegler Center with Blind Onion. Inside is a well lit, no frills diner. Two men tag-teamed friendly interaction with the two other tables. I ordered a side of biscuits & gravy, two over-easy eggs and coffee. A carafe of Joe was delivered to my table along with sugar. Surprisingly the table was void of artificial sweetener. I didn't inquire because I always carry Splenda. The biscuits & gravy with eggs met expectation and I enjoyed them. The coffee was ok. It's a pay at the counter kind of place. I noticed that the price was more for coffee than on the menu $3.99 vs $3.50 but I didn't make a fuss. The Verdict: Being across town, I don't see myself returning but Nayhely's Place is good spot for people near by to have a bite in a quiet setting. They don't have a website. Their Facebook page is difficult to find and hasn't been updated in years. But that's ok. Nayhely's has a loyal following. Their regulars find it via muscle memory and probably don't look at the menu because they order their usual.

This is out go to breakfast place. It never disappoints! The chicken fried steak is one of the best we've tried! The hearty breakfast and club sandwiches are also amazing!

First time eating here😋 we were walked in and immediately was greeted with a friendly smile and welcoming and asked what we preferred to sit at a booth or chair. The food was awesome and so was the staff. They came and check on us a few times to see if there was anything we needed. We will definitely eat here again.🤙🏼
